ChildNet training is a 25 hour training series designed specifically for child care home providers. A ChildNet series consists of 10, two and a half hour modules and meets DHS training requirements for two years. Click here for ChildNet module descriptions.
Registered Child Development Home (CDH) providers who complete the ChildNet series within one calendar year are eligible to become ChildNet certified. To become ChildNet certified a CDH provider must have a current registration and schedule a certification visit with a Child Care Home Consultant who verify that the providers is 100% compliant with both the DHS registration checklist and the ChildNet checklist click here. ChildNet certification is a requirement of Level 2 and above in the Iowa Qualty Rating System.
