Iowa Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) offers communities, child care professionals, and parents a unique blend of direct services, planning expertise and data collection.  CCR&R agencies work to connect families with quality early care and education options and facilitate professional development opportunities for the adults who care for and educate our youngest Iowans. CCR&R also works to build the supply of quality care and education in communities, collecting data that impacts local and statewide policy decisions to help families and communities ensure that Iowa’s vision is met:

CCR&R provides services and resources for child care providers and staff from those entering the child care field to participation in quality improvement initiatives, from training to higher education. CCR&R provides training, technical assistance and on site consultation to:

• Support the professional development and growth of child care providers and staff through approved training
• Assist child care providers and programs in understanding and meeting regulatory requirements.
• Assist child care providers and programs in implementing best practices in health and safety, business operations, policies and procedures, room arrangement, curriculum, guidance, infant toddler needs and many more areas important to successful child care programs.
• Support child care provider and programs in quality improvement processes like ChildNet certification, obtaining a rating through the Iowa Quality Rating System or accrediatation.
